Lil' John Roberts
A highly sought-after drummer whose career spans jazz, R&B, hip-hop and soul, Lil’ John Roberts has toured and recorded with artists including Janet Jackson, George Duke, George Benson, Stevie Wonder and many others. A Berklee alumnus and longtime touring professional, he is widely respected for his versatility, musicianship and unmistakable groove.

James “PJ” Spraggins
James “PJ” Spraggins is a Billboard-charting jazz drummer, composer, producer and recording artist from Alabama. Known for blending smooth jazz, funk, gospel and soul, PJ has performed internationally, released several solo projects, and worked alongside an impressive roster of contemporary jazz artists.

Reggie Hines
Veteran saxophonist Reggie Hines has built a career that crosses jazz, R&B, funk, gospel and soul. He toured for years with Angie Stone, has performed at major festivals around the world, and has worked with artists and entertainers including Craig Robinson and his band The Nasty Delicious.

Melvin M. Miller
Melvin M. Miller is an Atlanta-based trumpeter, composer and performing artist with a background in both classical and contemporary jazz. He has served as principal trumpet with the African American Philharmonic Orchestra of Atlanta, performed for the Atlanta Falcons and Hawks, and contributed his signature horn sound to recordings, television and film.

Frank McComb
Frank McComb is an accomplished pianist, vocalist, songwriter and producer whose career blends soul, jazz, R&B and gospel. His extensive body of work includes collaborations with artists such as Prince, Chaka Khan, Branford Marsalis, George Duke and Lalah Hathaway, while his career as an independent artist has earned him international recognition.

Bob Baldwin
Bob Baldwin is an internationally recognized contemporary jazz pianist, composer, producer and radio host whose recording career spans nearly four decades. A Sony Innovators Award winner, Baldwin has released dozens of projects, performed across six continents, and collaborated with artists including George Benson, Grover Washington Jr. and Will Downing.

Mark Strowbridge
Mark Strowbridge is an accomplished guitarist whose recording credits cross R&B, gospel, jazz and film. His work includes guitar contributions to the Sparkle motion-picture soundtrack, J. Holiday recordings and Tasha Cobbs Leonard projects, reflecting the versatility and professional musicianship he brings to the Players’ Showcase judging panel.

Tres Gilbert
Tres Gilbert is one of Atlanta’s respected bassists and musical directors, with decades of experience supporting major artists and live productions. His credits include work with New Edition, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, TLC, Kelly Price and others, along with television, soundtrack and production work throughout his career.
